It was in 2016 that the Algerian Company of Hydroid Echinococcosis (SAEH) was created, this initiative had to answer to a obvious, resulting from the evolution of various specialties (medical, surgical, biological, radiological and veterinary) to implement control programs to eradicate hydatid disease

Surgery alone is no longer the center of therapy, but it is from the individual carrying the pathology that all of his disciplines must gravitate to find solutions.

The concept of the patient’s journey is now accepted and it is up to us that this path does not become that of the “combatant”.

Currently, we see doctors, surgeons, biologists, radiologists, veterinarians collaborate to improve the quality of care, the efficiency of the system, the quality of society’s view of this pathology.

We have everything to learn from each other and it is time to get out of our services, our poles, our operating rooms from our laboratories to rub shoulders with other specialties and collaborate to improve the quality of care.

In this upheaval, the mode of communication plays a central role and research has a prominent place.
